Schleich - Dilophosaurus Figure - 14567
The dilophosaurus was one of the fastest prehistoric reptiles, after the compsognathus and the velociraptor. Despite a six-meter-long body, it weighed only 5 kg and had powerful hind legs that allowed it to easily reach speeds of up to 38 km/h. It had two prominent bony crests on its skull, which earned it the nickname "the two-crested reptile". They were indeed large and long, but too thin to be used for defense. Scientists believe they were used to impress its rivals.
