Are you ready for your vacation?
Trüberbrook is an exciting adventure game that blends mystery and science fiction, set in the rural Germany of the late 1960s, during the turbulent political context of the Cold War.
The player takes on the role of the young American physicist Tannhauser, who has strangely won a trip to the eponymous village of Trüberbrook, a dilapidated but sublime spa resort, isolated in the wooded countryside of West Germany. Tannhauser - who is preparing his doctoral thesis - goes to Trüberbrook to rest... Instead, he will have to save the world. But something strange is in the air, as these picturesque places gradually become the stage of a mystery blending science fiction and Germanic folklore.
One of the most distinctive features of the game is its unique graphic style: the entire landscape and sets are constructed as real miniature models, captured via photogrammetry, digitally 'polished' and then mixed with animated characters, visual effects and game extensions.
In terms of gameplay, Trüberbrook has something of the classic point-and-click adventure with a modern approach.
The game's mood and atmosphere are inspired by TV series like Twin Peaks, X-Files and True Detective.
The game blends German folklore with an exciting science fiction story and covers universal themes such as love, friendship, loyalty, uprooting, self-discovery and dinosaurs!
