Shinobi is an action-platformer game developed and published by SEGA for the Master System. An adaptation of the arcade version, the player controls a ninja who fights enemies and throws shurikens. The game takes place over several levels with bosses to confront. The American box art features a partially masked ninja against a grid background, with the SEGA logo and the 'ARCADE' mention prominently displayed. Shinobi is recognized as one of SEGA's flagship titles for the 8-bit console.
