Shanghai is a puzzle game released in 1988 for the SEGA Master System console in the United States. Based on the Chinese board game Mahjong, it challenges players to match and eliminate identical tile pairs. The game takes place on a virtual board composed of 144 stacked tiles. Shanghai emphasizes strategy and concentration, providing a stimulating yet relaxing gaming experience. This SEGA version brings the popular concept of solitaire Mahjong to the home console.
