Launched in Japan in October 1988 under the name Mega Drive, the SEGA console stood out with its Motorola 68000 processor, the same as that of the arcade machines of the time. A little-known peculiarity: its first games were delivered in rigid plastic cases in the "Master System" style, before the adoption of the mythical black clamshell. The Japanese market received many exclusives, such as Monster World IV or the Party Quiz Mega Q, general knowledge games full of references to Japanese pop culture. Some titles, such as Panorama Cotton or Crusader of Centy, are now among the most sought after by collectors, with prices regularly exceeding 1000€.
