After Burner II

After Burner II, developed by Sunsoft for the Nintendo Entertainment System, was released in 1989. This adaptation of Sega's famous arcade game transposes the frantic action of aerial combat onto Nintendo's 8-bit console. The player pilots an F-14 Tomcat through levels filled with enemies, using missiles and machine guns to shoot down opposing aircraft. Despite the technical limitations of the NES, the game attempts to reproduce the sensations of speed and intensity of the arcade version.
