This brand new accessory is a pedometer included exclusively in the Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver game packs. Working via an infrared connection, this accessory allows you to transfer any Pokémon present in one of the two games and thus continue the training of your Pokémon during your daily activities. Indeed, the Pokéwalker keeps track of the number of steps you take during the day, and transforms these steps into experience points. Not only does the Pokéwalker send information to your Nintendo DS, but also to other Pokéwalkers: by connecting your Pokéwalker to that of a friend, you will both receive a special item as a gift! The Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver games propel players back into the Johto region, a universe appreciated by all and unexplored since Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver (two games released on Game Boy Color in 2001). The graphics, scenery and animations have all been revised and improved since the first Gold and Silver versions, and a brand new Pokédex to manipulate via the touch screen for better ease of use are among the many new features. Among the new features, new areas are to be discovered that have never been seen in the first Gold and Silver versions, as well as a new place called the PokéAthlon where Pokémon will compete in sports competitions.
