Expedition

The Expedition series, launched in September 2002, marks a turning point in the history of Pokémon cards. With its 324 cards, this collection introduces Nintendo's e-Reader technology, thus merging the physical and digital worlds of Pokémon. The cards, recognizable by their enlarged borders integrating the Dot Code, offer an innovative gaming experience. Expedition stands out for its diversity, offering the largest number of holographic cards of its time, as well as new Pokémon effects and powers. This series, one of the last produced by Wizards of the Coast for Pokémon, represents a unique chapter in the evolution of the collectible card game, combining tradition and innovation.
