The Scarlet & Violet (SVI) series, launched on March 31, 2023, marks a new era for Pokémon cards in English. This collection introduces significant innovations while revisiting beloved mechanics. The return of Pokémon ex, absent since 2007, brings a renewed strategic dimension. A unique feature is the Tera mechanism, inspired by the Terastal phenomenon from the Scarlet and Violet video games. The card design has been rethought, with an improved holofoil for all rare and superior cards. The reverse holos now feature a distinctive patterned motif according to the Pokémon type. This series, which currently counts 472 cards, is also distinguished by its Secret Rares, including the popular Full Arts and Illustration Rares.
