Mad Movies

Dedicated to fantastic cinema, Mad Movies is a French film magazine created in 1972 by Jean-Pierre Putters and which addresses the themes specific to the genre. Fantastic, science fiction, fantasy, horror and gore are thus the happy guests of this memorable institution. Launched as a fanzine in 1972, it became professional with its bimonthly introduction on newsstands as of 1982. It was not until 2001 that it saw the benefit of a monthly publication. As of October 2002, two formulas are offered to readers: the magazine alone and a pack combining the said magazine and a DVD selected by the editorial staff, which often proves to be unpublished on the French-speaking film market. The first French magazine specialized in genre cinema, it displays an independent editorial line coupled with a very relaxed tone.
