When Lise Stocker, a cop in a criminal brigade, returns to her hometown to take care of her mother suffering from Alzheimer's disease, she is far from expecting to be hit head-on by her past. And yet. Hardly back, it is discovered that a 16-year-old teenager has disappeared after the village festival. A disappearance that upsets Lise. And for good reason.
