Nearly a year and a half has passed since the Erebonian civil war, and much has changed since then. From the shifting positions of countries to the inner politics of the Empire, to the life of Rean Schwarzer, the shadows of the past have given way to the beginning of a new chapter.

Now a graduate of the Thors Military Academy, Rean has become an instructor at the recently opened Thors Branch Campus, a school that quickly finds itself thrust into the national spotlight. Rean takes charge of an all-new Class VII and must guide a new generation of heroes towards an unknown future.

Although peace has now returned, the nefarious Ouroboros organization continues to weave a dark plot that could plunge the entire continent into war... or worse.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III propels players into a whirlwind of intrigue and high-stakes adventure across the newly annexed regions of the Erebonian countryside, where they'll encounter fresh faces as well as familiar friends from the previous entries in the series.

As always in the Trails franchise, a deep and engaging story is paired with an incredible cast of characters and a combat system that has been refined over the course of the previous entries. Trails of Cold Steel III has also been developed specifically for the PlayStation 4, a first for the series.
