Slap some butts, take some names, and beat up some punks in this brand new episode of the classic beat 'em up co-op series! River City Girls stars Kyoko and Misako, two tough high school girls who must fight their way through River City's six regions to rescue their kidnapped boyfriends, the Kunio and Riki pillars of the series. Along the way, they'll utilize an arsenal of combos, counters, throws, and special attacks; battle an assortment of enemies; take on numerous side quests; level up with experience points; interact with NPCs (including guest stars from previous River City games); and purchase a variety of items, food, and equipment to boost stats and unlock new abilities. The girls can even wield weapons and recruit defeated enemies to join them in the fight! The one or two-player local brawling is complemented by stunning 16-bit-style graphics and an epic synth-pop soundtrack (featuring NateWantsToBattle, Chipzel, Christina Vee, and Megan McDuffee!), while the story comes to life through glorious anime cutscenes and stylized manga intermissions.
