Blue Reflection takes place at the Hoshinomiya Girls' High School, where the player takes on the role of a student, Hinako Shirai. When Hinako's ballet dancing career abruptly ends due to a tragic accident, she becomes withdrawn. However, her life changes again when she meets her new best friends, the Shijou twins: Yuzu, who is adored by her classmates for her enthusiastic and warm personality, and Lime, who is more introverted. The twin sisters bestow upon Hinako the power of a 'Reflector', a champion who can manipulate a mysterious parallel dimension called 'The Common'. Hinako can freely move and shape this mystical realm through her imagination, but she quickly understands the danger that threatens them. As Hinako learns to cherish her friends and create new bonds, she gains new powers to aid her in her battle within 'The Common'.
