PES 2010 benefits from key improvements never before brought to all aspects of the game. These major advances in gameplay make PES 2010 one of the most realistic simulations to date.
PES Productions, Konami's development team based in Tokyo, has collected feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the series from PES fan forums, PES League participants, enthusiasts, casual players and the press to incorporate a significant number of suggestions into its new version.
The key improvements in PES 2010 include:
· Regarding gameplay: PES 2010 will first seek to provide more sensations during matches between players for a whole new challenge. To begin with, an intuitive zonal defense covers all spaces and players must constantly seek new tactical patterns. PES 2010 thus aims to become a true football simulation, requiring both strategy and quick reactions, as in real football. In addition to the key elements of the game, the goalkeepers are more versatile with talents similar to those observed in the best performing goalkeepers. The refereeing has also been reworked, with more spontaneous AI elements that make their interventions more fair during matches.
· Graphical improvements: PES 2010 has undergone a major visual overhaul, still focused on the faithful representation of famous players with animations even closer to the behaviors of real footballers, but also their expressions which are reproduced in real time with improved lighting and shadows that distinguish the different conditions! The stadium details are also greatly improved, from the pitches to the architectural elements.
· All-new movements and animations: the animations now flow more naturally, both in terms of dribbling and shooting, reproducing the players' abilities as accurately as possible. Individual talents are more often reproduced, including new technical gestures and feints whose precise representation is integrated into the game actions. Many elements have been completely reworked, the animations for dribbling, the fluidity of movements and shots will be greatly improved, resulting in noticeable effects on the pace of play depending on whether a player makes a pass at a standstill or in the movement of his run.
· Enrichment of the Master League: The Master League mode has been completely renewed with the development of management aspects: it offers players the possibility to manage a team over a much longer period. The UEFA Champions League is well integrated into the Master League mode.
