1912. The United States has now become a world power, the floating city of Columbia, launched to the cheers of a captivated audience, is the perfect symbol of American ideals. But what was supposed to be the beginning of a hopeful adventure quickly turns into a disaster when the city disappears into the sky. The greatest achievement in the history of the United States then remains untraceable.. The player embodies Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton detective on a mission to save Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in Columbia since her earliest childhood. He establishes a relationship with Elizabeth, they both improve their shared abilities and try to escape from this city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt confronts his enemies on a Sky-Line (aerial platform) at full speed, he fights both indoors and in the middle of the clouds and learns to master the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.
