R-Type

R-Type is a space shooter game developed by Irem and adapted for the SEGA Master System by Compile. This console version of the famous arcade shoot'em up retains the essence of the original gameplay. The player pilots the R-9 ship through horizontal levels filled with biomechanical enemies. The iconic armament includes the detachable force module and charged shots. The European cover art depicts a spectacular space confrontation between the player's ship and an alien monster, illustrating the science-fiction atmosphere of the game.
