Nintendo Land is a theme park with 12 different attractions inspired by the worlds of Nintendo. Each attraction offers exclusive and unique gameplay made possible by the Wii U GamePad. Depending on the attraction, players can play solo, compete against other players, or decide to form teams for cooperative play. Some attractions allow up to 5 players* to play. The gaming experience changes with each game, especially if players use the GamePad, a Wii remote, or decide to watch others on the TV.
Whether you enjoy team play, challenging your friends, or solo play, there's something for everyone in the 12 attractions.
Team Attractions (cooperative):
- The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest
- Pikmin Adventure
- Metroid Blast
Competitive Attractions:
- Mario Chase
- Luigi's Ghost Mansion
- Animal Crossing: Sweet Day
Solo Attractions:
- Yoshi's Fruit Cart
- Octopus Dance
- Donkey Kong's Crash Course
- Takamaru's Ninja Castle
- Captain Falcon's Twister Race
- Balloon Trip
FEATURES:
- The varied activities fully utilize the touch screen of the new Wii U GamePad in different ways. For example, simply slide your finger on the touch screen to throw shurikens in all directions in Takamaru's Ninja Castle. In the levels of Donkey Kong's Crash Course, tilt the Wii U GamePad left or right to progress and avoid obstacles.
- A dynamic multiplayer mode offers different experiences in the same game. For example, in the same attraction, the player with the Wii U GamePad will have a completely different mission from the players using the TV. In Luigi's Ghost Mansion, the player with the GamePad will control a ghost that is not visible on the TV. In Metroid Blast, the player with the GamePad will be in command of a spacecraft and will face the players using the TV, positioned on the ground.
- The attractions are intuitive and the controls are easy to master, even if some more advanced levels will challenge experienced players. Metroid Blast, for example, contains a complex mission mode and a combat mode pitting ground and air forces.
- Depending on the attraction, players can enjoy the game in solo mode or compete against other players. Some attractions even allow players to form teams and play cooperatively.
