Mario & Sonic at Rio Olympics

The worlds of Mario and Sonic are reunited once again for 17 exciting events in Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Wii U.

This installment of the series offers more than 30 playable characters, the ability to play with your Mii, and a frenzy of four-player multiplayer action.

Rugby sevens is one of the three sports, along with football and beach volleyball, to have its own Duels. Players can also aim for the gold medal in classic Olympic disciplines like boxing, archery, 100m, using the Wii U GamePad in single-player mode, or the Wii remote buttons in multiplayer.Rhythmic gymnastics (with clubs) and Rugby sevens are also playable for the first time.

All the events take place in modeled locations of the real Olympic Games venues.

Discover also the Heroes Showdown mode. Competitors join the Mario or Sonic team and compete in elimination events. The events are randomly selected for a true test of skills and a character from the losing team is knocked out each round until all members are eliminated, or the Mario and Sonic team captains are eliminated.

Additional special tournaments can be played using amiibo figures. They can be used after completing 25 tournaments.
