Feeling like escaping the heart of winter or extending the sense of freedom of the holidays? Head south to the Pacific Ocean with Endless Ocean on Wii. In this new game in the Touch! Generations collection, discover the beauty of the seabed by participating in multiple activities: swim, explore the underwater world and catalog the different species of tropical fish... With its calm and relaxing atmosphere, this diving simulation allows you to escape stress. Divers can freely explore the seabed: choose their diving spot, observe changes in marine life over the hours and seasons, approach, pet and feed tropical fish and other underwater creatures at their own pace... It all starts on board a dive boat, a crew member gives tips to find the best spots and progress in the story. Players embody a diver and explore the seabed: they go to discover aquatic life, equipped with a camera or bait... On board the boat, they can consult their fish encyclopedia and admire the different species they have discovered. They can also choose a specific mission, such as photographing the local wildlife. As the game progresses, these missions will unlock certain game elements, objects to use underwater and more equipment for the diver... Players evolve in the depths of the ocean and control their character using the Wii remote pointer, visible on the screen as a blue dot. If players want to interact with fish or plants, they will highlight them by pointing at them and pressing the A button. This way, players can discover new species and expand their fish encyclopedia. In addition, they will be able to befriend aquatic creatures, such as dolphins. Endless Ocean offers several game modes for total relaxation. The player can sit in a chair on the boat's deck and watch the sea. They can also, in 'aquarium' mode, select the fish they have encountered in the ocean and add them to their own aquarium to study them more closely. All this calm and tranquility is accentuated by a soothing soundtrack, signed by Hayley Westenra, the star of New Zealand song. If players want to dive with a friend, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service on the Wii allows users to meet for online games. In this cooperative mode, they have access to all the usable objects in single player mode but also to an additional communication system to activate with the multidirectional controller. By exchanging their friend code, two players can dive and explore the ocean together.
