Participate in the most prestigious of sporting events with the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa on Wii. Experience the highlights of a competition rich in emotion and play your best football to win the coveted trophy.
Experience the electrifying atmosphere and breathtaking suspense of the greatest sporting event with this new episode of the FIFA series. None of the 32 teams that will compete this summer in South Africa are missing, but that's not all: the 199 nations that participated in the qualifying rounds are also part of the party. If your favorite team failed to reach the final stages, it's up to you to rewrite history by leading them to victory!
The ten stadiums that are about to welcome the world's best players have been faithfully modeled to immerse you in the heart of the action.
Before kick-off, you can choose to play alone, with family or with friends. Up to four players can cooperate within the same team. It is also possible to assign a tournament team to each of the participants to allow 32 people to compete in turn. Select your favorite country to prove to your friends that you are the master of the round ball!
The Strike It system introduced in FIFA 10 makes a grand return in this episode to ensure intense matches. You will have to shake the Wii remote at the right moment during crucial actions to succeed in your free kicks or penalties. At the slightest inattention, the ball will end up between the gloves of the opposing goalkeeper. The All-Play (novice) and Pro Control (veteran) control modes will allow all players to shine on the field, regardless of their level.
In addition to the main tournament, Zakumi's Dream Team mode invites you to travel around the world to face national teams. Each match won will allow you to recruit players from the losing team. With each victory, you will have the opportunity to compose the team of your dreams! You can then save your formation in your Wii remote and go to your friends' homes to challenge them on their own turf.
Finally, it is possible to play online via the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection to relive the tension of an international match. The best players in the world are waiting for you and you will have to deploy great skill to hold your own. If your favorite country fails to win the cup, this mode will allow you to take your revenge by leading it to victory!
The national coach has left you on the bench? No matter, the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa invites you to join the field. The whole country is behind you!
