The two Joy-Con can be used autonomously, one in each hand, or together to form a single controller by snapping them on each side of the Joy-Con grip. They can be attached to the main console for use in portable mode, or shared with a friend to enjoy two-player games in compatible games. Each Joy-Con has all the buttons to serve as a full-fledged controller. Each of them incorporates an accelerometer and a gyroscope, which allows the motion sensor functionality of the two Joy-Con to be used independently. But the Nintendo Switch also incorporates several features designed to make it even more interactive. The left Joy-Con has a screenshot button that allows players to instantly capture screenshots during gameplay to share with friends on social networks. The right Joy-Con incorporates an NFC area that allows interaction with amiibo, as well as an infrared motion-detecting camera that can detect the distance, shape and movement of objects in the vicinity in games designed to use this feature. For example, it can detect how far the player's hand is, or what shape it takes in the rock-paper-scissors game. Both Joy-Con include advanced HD rumble that allows for more realistic vibrations than ever before with compatible games. The effect is so detailed that the player can, for example, feel the distinct vibrations of ice cubes colliding in a glass by shaking the Joy-Con. With HD rumble, you'll experience a level of realism that images and sound alone cannot reproduce. A word about the Nintendo Switch (not included): The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo's latest console. It is both a home and portable console. Specifically, it connects to a TV (via an HDMI port) but can also instantly transform into a portable console with a 6.2-inch screen.
