Nathan and his loyal companions, Jibanyan and Whisper, are back. In this episode, the player can travel to the past to discover the origins of the very first Yo-Kai Watch! Become friends with new completely wacky Yo-Kai, and for the first time, face other players online in several multiplayer modes. One night, as Nathan sleeps deeply, two dark Yo-kai erase his memories and steal his Yo-kai Watch! The next day, our hero stumbles upon a mysterious souvenir shop where he finds his Yo-kai Watch and his two disoriented friends, the Yo-kai Jibanyan and Whisper! Embody Nathan or Katie on a journey to the past in which you will discover the causes of the recent troubles that are shaking the small town of Granval-sur-mer. While each Yo-kai has its own personality, they all love to play tricks on humans! A sudden urge to eat everything around you? The Yo-kai Granpapeti must be hiding somewhere in the room! Try to become friends with them and tame their powers throughout an adventure. There are more than 100 new Yo-kai, including Hovernyan, a blue kitten who thinks he's a superhero and who will teach our heroes to travel through time. Players can go back 60 years in time to visit the Granval-sur-Mer of the past, travel to many places and change eras in an instant to solve new mysteries! Throughout their journey, our heroes have the opportunity to solve the daily problems of the inhabitants through more than 80 side quests! For the first time, players can exchange Yo-kai medals online and create a team of their favorite Yo-kai to challenge friends through a multiplayer mode. Victories or defeats earn points that can be used to buy items in a special shop. Each version of Yo-Kai Watch 2 includes five exclusive and unique Yo-kai that can be traded locally and online.
