Swell the ranks of an elite Federation Force troop to protect the galaxy in Metroid Prime: Federation Force. In this first-person shooter, discover a new adventure in the Metroid universe, and team up with local or online marines to complete thrilling cooperative missions. The galaxy is at war. After the destruction of Phazon and the corrupted world of Phaaze, the threat of Space Pirates still looms. You are a recruit of the Federation Force, the elite created by the Galactic Federation. Your mission: eradicate the Space Pirate threat. You take control of a specialized combat armor, known as a mech, and head to the ravaged Bermuda system to investigate suspicious activities, using your blaster to eliminate enemies in your path. Discover hostile worlds and infiltrate enemy-infested bases, solve environmental puzzles, and battle terrifying alien lifeforms of all sizes in multi-objective missions. Stay vigilant as a lone marine, or join a team of up to four players, locally or online, to fight the Space Pirates. When you succeed in squad missions, teamwork is essential to your survival. Before each mission, distribute the different types of AUX ammunition among your teammates, and use them to help each other during the mission. You can fire Repair Capsules at your teammates to heal them in the heat of battle, while Slow Beams can be used to hinder the enemy, providing your squad with new shooting opportunities. For each successful mission, you earn MODs that can improve your mech's armor and capabilities, which will be useful for the more challenging trials to come.
