Two of the most beloved and hairy video game characters on the planet are making their big comeback this end of the year in Donkey Kong Country Returns. And for the first time in the history of the series, the two primates can now face their enemies side by side thanks to the new two-player mode. Donkey Kong Country Returns offers you to rediscover the side-scrolling backgrounds that made the success of the series, with new levels, spectacular graphics and an increased game density thanks to 3D backgrounds that will delight both newcomers and longtime fans. Signed by Nintendo, in association with Retro Studios, this new opus will immerse you at the heart of an adventure through jungles, beaches and other ancient ruins, masterfully led by the intrepid duo of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong who are trying to save Donkey Kong's precious banana stock from the clutches of a multitude of enemies. - Retro Studios has faithfully reproduced everything that made the success of the original series, from cannon barrels to mining carts, and has brought all these elements together in an impressive graphic universe, while adding depth to the world and gameplay. The game renews the traditional side-scrolling experience that everyone loves, but adds levels created in fully 3D environments. - Diddy Kong also joins the adventure. Thanks to his backpack, he can bring out a Propeller Barrel to fly or a Peanut Popgun to give Donkey Kong more capabilities. - For the very first time, the series allows two players to play simultaneously (additional accessories sold separately required), one as Donkey Kong and the other as Diddy Kong. Players can explore the levels separately or as a team. Diddy Kong can also climb on Donkey Kong's back and get off when he wants, which allows novices to climb on Donkey Kong's back in the more difficult areas of the game. - Hidden objects, puzzle pieces and other surprises are scattered throughout the jungle. Find the K-O-N-G letters before the end of each level to earn an additional bonus. - Motion controls give players a real sense of immersion. They move Donkey Kong with the Nunchuk's directional stick and can shake the Wii remote to make Donkey Kong perform a ground pound. - The vibrant colors, sumptuous graphics and endearing characters will appeal to all players, and even those who have never played a Donkey Kong game will have fun collecting bananas. - Each level is a concentrate of fun and challenges. Donkey Kong will be led to explore the jungle or tropical beaches and will sometimes have to show good timing to jump over chasms on the edge of a mining cart.
