Interpret the law as you see fit in This Is the Police 2, the sequel to the memorable This Is the Police. Take a seat in the sheriff's office, manage your police officers, investigate, interrogate, incarcerate, make difficult decisions, and avoid ending up in prison yourself! Discover a narrative game that blends adventure and strategy, set in a cold frontier town plagued by violence.
Welcome to Sharpwood, where everyone knows each other and is particularly respectful of traditions, no matter how barbaric they may be... Smugglers, gangs, and raging populists are at home here. Despair spreads like a cancer, closely followed by violence. A daunting task awaits the new sheriff, Lilly Reed (voiced by Sarah Hamilton, the voice of April in the Longest Journey saga). She must strive to maintain order and peace, while her subordinates are nothing but rough brutes, very reluctant to obey the orders of a young woman. But everything changes when a mysterious stranger calling himself Warren Nash arrives in Sharpwood... For no one really knows what he is trying to bring to the city... Salvation or perdition?
Highlights:
- Immerse yourself in a surprising blend of game styles. Like its predecessor, This Is The Police 2 draws from different genres and mechanics to fuse them into a unique, story-driven experience, with even more unexpected twists. Is it an adventure game? A strategy game? A simulation? A management game? An interactive novel? A puzzle game? It's all of that and more!
- Discover an intense story in which no one is quite innocent. The population of Sharpwood is ignorant and cruel. Poverty and hunger lead to outbursts of domestic violence, while the inaction of the authorities leads the villagers to turn to the 'spirits of the forest' and archaic religious cults. Food supply problems have put the town in the grip of local smugglers, many of whom are former military. Accusing the innocent, negotiating deals with criminals, torturing those who refuse to submit... You'll be able to use all the means at your disposal to move things forward as you see fit.
- Don't stray from your friends, let alone your enemies. Your subordinates are not just resources. They are real people, with their strengths, weaknesses, fears, and prejudices, and you'll have to adapt to all these elements to have a chance of surviving. The same goes for the inhabitants: in Sharpwood, everything rests on personal relationships...
