The independent game The Escapists merges with the global phenomenon that is The Walking Dead to form The Escapists: The Walking Dead Edition. In this game, entirely created in the charming 8-bit style of The Escapists, you play as Rick Grimes facing the hordes of zombies roaming the planet. Rick is the head of a group of survivors composed of the main characters from the original comic book, including Maggie, Hershel, Glenn and Michonne. Rick must ensure the safety of the group by finding a safe exit route in each area and managing several perilous tasks to keep as many people alive as possible. The game faithfully follows the story of the comics: Rick must first get out of the Harrison Memorial Hospital, then go to the Greene farm, before visiting places like the Meriwether Correctional Facility and Woodbury. Protect the living and flee the dead by replaying the exceptional story of this award-winning comic book. 5 environments: find five of the most iconic locations from the world of The Walking Dead, including the Meriwether County Correctional Facility, Woodbury, and Alexandria. Unique equipment: choose from over 200 different items to improve 70 essential tools and weapons for your survival. Old acquaintances: interact with your favorite characters from the comics, and recruit them to accomplish important tasks. Daily tasks: keep busy with the other survivors in an attempt to maintain morale. Weapons: craft or discover firearms to ensure your safety against the zombies.
