Returning from exile, Gnasty Gnorc unleashes his dark magic on the Dragon Realms, trapping the dragons in crystal and raising an army of Gnorcs. Spyro, accompanied by his dragonfly friend Sparx, is the only dragon that was spared and is able to traverse the six worlds to save the dragons and the world. Spyro has been teleported to Avalar to defeat the evil sorcerer Ripto, who is sowing chaos there. Each of Avalar's worlds is under Ripto and his minions' control, and it's up to Spyro to defeat them and restore peace. In this adventure, Spyro will have to use his flames, combat techniques, and wits to triumph over his enemies while taking on unique challenges, such as herding strange animals, shooting targets, and defeating dangerous dinosaurs.

As the Dragon Realms celebrate the Year of the Dragon, a mysterious masked figure begins stealing all the dragon eggs. Enchanted by the evil sorceress, the Rhynocs now guard them in the Forgotten Realms. Accompanied by his old and new friends, Spyro must retrieve the eggs, defeat the Rhynoc army, and foil the evil sorceress's plans. Set out on an adventure, explore the mysterious realms, and take on incredible challenges, such as performing tricks on your skateboard or winning boxing matches.
