Has-Been Heroes is a challenging 'rogue' type game. It is a game that mixes action and strategy in which a group of heroes set out to escort the king's twin princesses to the Princess Academy. The player controls three characters and must focus on combining hundreds of different spells to create devastating combos that can be used against the enemies that stand in their way.

This strategy game offers quirky humor, extensive world maps, and progressive difficulty levels. The player must remain alert and focused on the game as the quantity of random spells and items that allow for thousands of new experiences are placed in their path and constantly force them to change their strategy, with the threat of 'permadeath' looming and meaning losing everything!
