The world of Risen 3 has been abandoned by all the gods and must endure the war of the Titans, but a new threat emerges from the depths.

A young warrior is attacked in the shadows and his soul is stolen. He then sets out to search for what he has lost, at the heart of the darkness that is gradually engulfing his world. The banished Mages could prove to be powerful allies in his quest... In order to obtain their help, he will have to find the Mages' Sanctuary on Taranis, also called "the Island of Thunder". Protected by the Guardians, the Mages exploit the mines of Taranis in search of crystals charged with magical energy.

Will the player join the Guardians in order to make contact with the Mages? Or will he prefer one of the other guilds of Risen 3 to achieve his goal?
