After its passage into the world of PCs, The Battle for Middle-earth II plunges players on Xbox 360 into the fantastic world of The Lord of the Rings. Take control of the forces of good united around men, elves and dwarves or ruin all hope in Middle-earth by opting for evil. Launch orcs, goblins and other minions of Sauron against the civilized world. Each camp has about fifteen different units and buildings as well as its own campaign. This version benefits from an adaptation of the controls for the Xbox 360 controller in order to keep the game intuitive. In addition to the campaigns, the player can participate in skirmishes or even face human opponents online, on Xbox Live.
