EA Redwood Shores studio, already at work on the horror success Dead Space, is proposing an original license: the adaptation of The Divine Comedy, the famous epic poem by Dante Alighieri. Considered the founder of Italian literature, the text has greatly influenced the Western conception of Hell and Purgatory. Dante's Inferno by EA tells an adapted story whose objective is to deliver a spectacular third-person action game experience while bringing Dante's vision of Hell to video games. Players take on the role of Dante plunging into Hell to find Beatrice, his murdered beloved whose soul Lucifer has seduced to drag her into the abyss. Dante wants to save Beatrice but he quickly realizes that he must confront his own demons in Hell, for his own redemption. On the program of the festivities, the nine circles of Hell to cross. Namely: limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery. Each with its own visual identity, its monsters and bosses of gigantic dimensions.
