Before leaving Earth, Ellen Ripley had promised her daughter Amanda that she would return for her 11th birthday. Amanda never saw her mother again.

Fifteen years later, Amanda, who now works for Weyland-Yutani, learns that the black box of her mother's ship, the Nostromo, has been found in the distant Sevastopol commercial station. The temptation to finally understand what happened is too great. When the crew arrives on Sevastopol, they discover that something is really not right. The station seems to be the prey of an invisible threat, lurking and killing in the deepest shadows.
