Savage Land Rogue - Marvel Gallery

Martin Goodman founded Timely Publications in 1939. The company changed its name several times before becoming Marvel Comics and establishing itself as one of the leading publishing companies in the United States. It achieved its first successes with The Human Torch, Namor, Ka-Zar and especially Captain America. After the difficult 1950s, Marvel bounced back thanks to the pens of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. They gave birth to the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Nick Fury and Black Panther. The acquisition by Disney in 2009 gave rise to a series of hugely successful superhero films.
