Le Prince & le Pauvre

In a once prosperous and peaceful kingdom, the king falls seriously ill as winter begins, and he must remain bedridden... The captain of the royal guard (Pat Hibulaire) then becomes regent and, aided by his army of weasels, he steals and terrorizes the population by taking advantage of the king's authority. In this context, the heir to the kingdom (Mickey Mouse), who is bored because of the lessons of his teacher (Horace Horsecollar) and only distracts himself by annoying his valet (Donald Duck), would like to be able to leave his castle to go and have fun... He then meets Mickey, a poor citizen who tries to survive by selling wood, and takes advantage of their resemblance and the fact that Mickey would like to have a better life to exchange their respective places: the prince takes Mickey's place in the streets of the city, accompanied by Pluto and Goofy, while Mickey goes to live in the castle, but each of the two discovers that what he imagined was not entirely founded: Mickey has to follow Horace's lessons, where he does not really shine, while the prince sees that the people are starving because of the taxes levied by the captain's guard... But at the same time, after an altercation between the disguised prince and members of the guard, the captain realizes that the poor man he has thrown out of the castle is none other than the prince, and that it is therefore Mickey who is in the place of the heir to the throne. He then decides to take advantage of this to seize the throne...
