More than any other Asterix album, The Rose and the Sword lent itself to an adaptation into a checkers game. This time, the outcome of the game is in your hands, and depends on your strategic talents. Your goal is simple: capture or immobilize your opponent's pieces. The pawns, to be placed on a 'customized' Asterix game board, are sculpted in the shape of Gaulish logs for one team and Roman columns for the other. A way to re-enact the Gaul versus Rome confrontations in the comfort of your own home.
