- A Boring Man
Hashimoto, an ordinary office worker, has just been dumped by his ex-partner on the pretext that he is a bland and boring man. Deeply affected by these insults, he drowns his sorrow in alcohol and almost drowns in the common bathroom of the residence provided by his company. He is saved just in time by his neighbor, Karasuma, who is younger than him but much more agile at work, and whose popularity with his colleagues is no longer in doubt. For Hashimoto, Karasuma represents an ideal to be achieved, but when the latter declares his love for him, how could he take it seriously, he, the bland and boring man?
