Aqua Knight

The world of Marmundo is almost entirely covered in water, and only a few scattered islands serve as habitable surfaces for humans. The young Ashika and his father, Arrabil, live peacefully on one of these islands until the day when an armored warrior, an "Aqua Knight" named Rujila, washes ashore, charged with upholding justice throughout the world. To thank them for coming to her aid, she too quickly promises to make Ashika an Aqua Knight. Unable to go back on her word, she then decides to entrust the young boy with an impossible mission: to find a dragon's egg... Attention, an event! Aqua Knight is a series designed by Yukito Kishiro, the acclaimed author of Gunnm (which James Cameron is said to be preparing an adaptation for the cinema), and it is safe to say that it was eagerly awaited by fans! In this great adventure story in three volumes, Kishiro takes us on an initiatory quest populated with monstrous creatures, magical artifacts, and humor that hits the mark on every page. We immediately find the author's undisputed graphic qualities, and his heroine, Rujila, is reminiscent of the superb lines of Gally from Gunnm. After Gunnm last order 10, while awaiting the special one-shot Gunnm Another Stories, here is another appointment this semester from Kishiro.
