On the other side of the continent, the states of the west are now called the Pacific Republic and have allied with Asia. In 2161, a simple sign of unauthorized military preparations in the Pacific was enough for the new president to order a strike at the heart of the Pacific Republic, against an outpost in the now dried-up San Francisco Bay. This strike precipitates the unthinkable: the nations of the world are engaged in a merciless battle on American soil. Soldier Mason Briggs uses explosives and weaponry capable of reshaping the terrain to change the course of the battle.
