Le Conte de la princesse Kaguya

Adapted from the Japanese folk tale "The Bamboo Cutter", one of the foundational texts of Japanese literature, Kaguya, "the shining princess", is discovered in a bamboo stalk by peasants. She quickly becomes a magnificent young woman coveted by the greatest princes: they will have to take on impossible challenges in the hope of winning her hand.
