After miraculously surviving the battle against Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Dark Maul was saved by the witches of Dathomir. He then built a crime syndicate called the Shadow Collective, in order to take revenge on all his enemies. But in doing so, he attracts the attention of his previous master, the evil Dark Sidious.
