Pour une mine de diamants

Sara has always lived in India, when her father, Captain Crewe, takes her to finish her education in a girls' boarding school in London. Friendships are revealed with Ermengarde and little Lottie, and enmities with this plague of Lavinia and especially the dry-as-a-bone headmistress: Miss Minchin. Nevertheless, thanks to her wealth and talent in all areas, Sara quickly becomes the star of the boarding school, especially since her father sends her surprising letters: he would be investing in diamond mines... Miss Minchin competes with imagination to flatter and spoil her pupil, until the day when two solicitors present themselves at the boarding school. Captain Crewe is dead, ruined, leaving his daughter penniless.
