Voyage aux Ombres

The young Dyssery, a resident of the Darshan valley, has a reputation for being a wanton, all because she nurtures a passion for the theater, an art usually reserved for men and whores. Phorée, a wealthy merchant from the region, nonetheless wishes to marry her, both to put her back on the right path and to benefit, in her allegedly expert hands, from a most interesting wedding night. Alas, his beloved eludes him and finds nothing better to do than die just as the wedding ceremony is over! Be that as it may, he will set out for the Valley of Shadows to search for his beloved, like Orpheus braving death to bring Eurydice back to life.
