KAMANDI is a magazine published by Aredit/Artima in the Comics Pocket collection. 6 issues from the 3rd quarter of 1975 to the 3rd quarter of 1978. Format 13 x 19 cm. 164 pages until issue 6, then 132 pages until the end. 5 collections of two issues. The magazine features the hero: Kamandi. The other series are more disparate and do not always last very long. In fact, there is one or more episodes of Kamandi in each issue, a few more or less minor series or even independent stories for a total of 164 pages devoted almost exclusively to comics (almost no editorial content). The most recurring series are "Serre the Barbarian", "Rima the Jungle Girl", "The Joker" or "Creeper" written and drawn by Steve Ditko (early Spiderman). Kamandi will have 10 issues in the Comics Pocket collection before continuing at "Artima Color Super-Star" first in the "Year Zero" series (6 issues) which will become "Kamandi (Artima Color)" in the same collection (7 issues). Apparently this change of name corresponds to the change of artist. Indeed, it is Jack Kirby who drew in "Year Zero" while we find various artists like Chic Stone, Dick Ayers or Juan Ortiz in "Kamandi".
