January 1915. While the men dig the trenches, the command devises a plan in which a section must serve as bait for the Germans, a suicide mission that falls to Corporal Armand de Bernanceaux and his men. Before departure, two events concerning the honor of Maurice and Denis will jeopardize the cohesion of the group of friends.
