Rolf Billabong gets along well with children. Everyone loves his painting classes and when he teaches music, the noise the children make with their drums, rattles and whistles can be heard for miles from his home. Matilda Billabong and her husband Rolf work at the nursery where all the Sylvanian babies and young children come to play and learn the basics in preparation for school. Clive Billabong, the brother, is not sporty but he likes to talk about it. He can entertain an audience for hours talking. Germaine Billabong, the sister, may be the smartest girl in the school. She prefers to write her thoughts rather than talk about them (unlike her brother)
