Known in France as The Knights of the Zodiac, Saint Seiya is a manga created by Masami Kurumada (1986).

Whenever humanity is in danger, the goddess Athena reincarnates and leads her gold, silver and bronze knights into battle. But a traitor manipulates the knights and tries to assassinate the baby in which Athena reincarnates. A gold knight saves her and makes her disappear. Years later, the young Saori presents herself as the reincarnation of Athena. Seiya, Hyōga, Shiryu, Shun and then Ikki, five bronze knights, will commit to defending her. They will have to show strength, courage, endurance and above all extraordinary perseverance to face their many enemies.
