A word about Harley Quinn: The character, dressed in her Harlequin costume, first appeared in 1992, in the Batman The Animated Series cartoon series. A promising psychiatrist, Dr. Harleen Quinzel works at the Arkham Asylum. That's where she meets the Joker, a subject of examination who becomes her obsession. The Joker takes advantage of this to gain the upper hand over her: the psychiatrist falls in love with her patient, helps him escape from the asylum, and devotes herself to making him happy. She thus becomes Harley Quinn, an unpredictable and terribly seductive villain. After meeting Poison Ivy, she becomes immune to poison.
