Schleich - Tiger Shark Figure - 14765
The tiger shark owes its name to its long dark stripes that resemble those of a tiger. It likes to eat sea turtles, breaking their shells with its sharp teeth. Its menu also includes rays, sea snakes, seals and birds, but it generally devours anything it can. Tires, ship and boat parts, nails, jewelry, clothes and books have already been found in the stomachs of tiger sharks. They even eat when they are not hungry and are considered by humans to be one of the most dangerous of the some 5 (mostly harmless) shark species.
