Lions, leopards and hyenas learn at their own expense that these animals know how to defend themselves very well. The temperature of their habitat in the desert can largely exceed 40°C. But oryx gazelles have a trick against the heat. They increase their body temperature until it exceeds that of their environment. This allows them to evacuate their heat and absorb a "cooler" air.
